In her role with ICON, Evangeline Ames-Murray bridges the gap between business developer and relationship builder, as she consistently strives to exceed client expectations regarding fulfillment and fulfillment velocity. She works to acquire new clients and directs company efforts to deepen and expand relationships within existing accounts.
Before joining ICON, Ames-Murray enjoyed 20-plus years of marketing and advertising experience at powerhouse Madison Avenue agencies, including Grey Advertising, Young & Rubicam, Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy, Euro RSCG and BBDO, leading global accounts, including Pizza Hut, Pfizer, Schering-Plough Consumer Healthcare Products, Colgate, Bayer Healthcare, Nestlé, Northwest Airlines, Sara Lee and General Mills and General Foods.
She was introduced to corporate barter around 2005 while serving as senior vice president, senior account director on Pizza Hut at BBDO, looking for ways to finance an additional cut of the Super Bowl commercial starring Jessica Simpson and the Muppets. According to Ames-Murray, “I called an Omnicom colleague at ICON to discuss the possibilities and found the ICON corporate-barter model extremely creative and interesting.”
Since then, she has applied her experience, talent and education (she graduated with Highest Distinction from the University of Virginia) to partnering with her ICON clients – such as ABC Entertainment, Intel, Hertz, H&R Block, Starbucks, and Subway – to optimize ICON’s value proposition with each of them.
Most People Don’t Know That… Ames-Murray was once the undefeated 100-meter freestyle and backstroke swimming champion in Connecticut.
