An ICON veteran, Dawn Montelione has been with the ICON HR family since 2002. As senior vice president of human resources, Dawn is responsible for employee relations, payroll, recruiting, succession planning, performance reviews, compensation, benefits and company events.
Dawn was instrumental in establishing the iWomen program; a platform to network and mentor the women of ICON by providing valuable professional and confidence-building skills, creating an environment that increases women’s visibility and advancement along their career paths within the organization.
Dawn helped facilitate the creation of the ICON Time Off Manager, and the Performance Appraisal system. With ICON’s growth and the addition of the Fort Lauderdale office, recruiting has picked up steam and Dawn has hired 39 people in 90 days! Dawn has also helped pave the way for ICON to earn the recognition it deserves. For nine consecutive years (2010-2019), ICON has been selected as a Top Workplace in CT as well as being named one of Ad Age’s Best Places to work in 2019!
Since 2015, Dawn has spearheaded recruiting, as part of a barter transaction with a client to fund employee personnel. She has hired over 20 employees, fostering a successful, ongoing partnership providing vast value to the client.
Dawn has always been interested in HR. She started her human resources career at a financial software company, where she created the HR department and hired over 50 new employees, eliminating that company’s recruiting fees.
After graduating from Pace University with a BA in Literature and Communications, Dawn received her MS in Human Resources Management from Mercy College. She has also been a member of SHRM since 2000 and is a certified PHR.
