Dave Harrington, SVP, Engineering, manages the day-to-day operations of the Software Engineering, Data Science, End User Computing and Infrastructure Engineering teams. Dave strives to keep his pulse on the needs of the business and works with all departments at ICON to ensure their needs are met. Since joining the IT department in 2014 as manager of software engineering, Dave has been instrumental in implementing Salesforce, Domo (a business intelligence/data analytics tool), Docusign and launching the ICON Intranet.
Prior to ICON, Dave was manager of application development for T3 Group for six years. At T3 Group, Dave’s team built custom IT solutions for financial services clients including HSBS, Old Mutual Bermuda and Sun Life Financial. He also spent five years at Shaws-Lawson Associates as lead developer & project manager where he created custom Learning Management Systems used by executive education programs at Harvard Business School, Babson College and private firms such as Novartis, Liberty Mutual and Arthur Andersen.
Dave has always had a passion for software development. Before graduating from high school, he already had three years of programming under his belt. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Computer Systems Engineering from Boston University, a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Marist College and received his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
